I’m getting LOUD to support children with hearing loss.
Loud Shirt Day is a cause very close to our hearts because of our son, Elliott.
Elliott has cochlear implants, and since beginning his hearing journey we’ve seen just how important early intervention, therapy, audiology support and access to the right services are for deaf and hard-of-hearing children.
Before this became part of our own lives, we never truly understood how much support goes into helping a child learn to listen, communicate and connect with the world around them. We now see firsthand the incredible difference that early intervention and dedicated professionals can make.
That’s why we’re fundraising for Loud Shirt Day.
The funds raised help support deaf and hard-of-hearing children and their families, giving them access to vital services during some of the most important years of their development.
For us, this is personal. We’re incredibly proud of Elliott and everything he continues to achieve, and we’re so grateful for the support he receives along the way.
By fundraising, we hope to give something back and help other children and families receive the same opportunities and support.
This Loud Shirt Day, we’ll be wearing our loudest shirts for Elliott and for every child on their own hearing journey.
Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. Thank you so much for supporting our family and a cause that means so much to us. 💛👕

Elliott’s Story 💛
Tuesday 6th OctIn 2025, my husband and I welcomed our little boy, Elliott.
Shortly after he was born, we found out that Elliott had profound sensorineural hearing loss. As first-time parents, with no family history of hearing loss, the news came as a huge shock and was incredibly overwhelming.
Since then, Elliott has been on an amazing hearing journey. He received cochlear implants in October 2025 and has continued to amaze us with his progress.
Along the way, we have learned just how much support goes into helping a deaf or hard-of-hearing child. From audiology appointments and cochlear implant programming to speech therapy and early intervention, there are so many people and services working behind the scenes to support children like Elliott and their families.
We feel incredibly lucky to have access to that support here in Darwin through NextSense.
That is why Loud Shirt Day means so much to us.
By fundraising, we hope to give something back to the services that have supported our family and help make sure they can continue to be there for other children and families beginning their own hearing journey.
Elliott has already taught us so much, and we are incredibly proud of everything he continues to achieve.
This Loud Shirt Day, we are wearing our loudest shirts for Elliott and for every deaf and hard-of-hearing child finding their own way to communicate, connect and thrive.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps support families like ours.
Thank you for being part of Elliott’s story and for supporting a cause that means so much to our family. 💛👕
