Our Story

For any newbies around, here is our story. 

In 2019, our first daughter failed her newborn hearing screening — what followed was an unknown journey which finds us here today. 

Isabella received her first pair of hearing aids at 7 weeks old after receiving a diagnosis of sensorineural bilateral hearing loss at a moderate level. 
She was just 4 months old when she began with Nextsense — who we are raising funds for. 

As a family we worked extremely hard to ensure Isabella was comfortable with her hearing loss and she has now become the biggest self advocate at the age of 7. 

With the support of Nextsense, Isabella is living the life of any normal 7 year old. She attends main stream schooling, plays main stream netball, has a great bunch of friends and fights like cat and dog with her sisters, exactly how any 7 year old does. 

Every year since 2023 our family have been making shirts for the day, with the support of some awesome local businesses along the way, donating their time, effort, funds and expertise to help us be able to put 100% of the tshirt purchases directly on the fundraiser. 
Our family have been recognised by Nextsense for our fundraising efforts and are proudly the 2026 ambassadors, helping lead the way to change and awareness for all children living with hearing loss. 

One day, I’m sure Isabella will question why she has a hearing loss and not her sisters, and that we will not have the answer to… but we will be able to show her the amount of support she has received over the years 🩷

This year, our Loud Shirts are back again! 

Isabella and her mum have been busy planning a design, and finding sponsors to support us with donating products needed to allow us to donate 100% of each shirts to our fundraiser. 
This year, by popular demand, we are adding in dog bandanas! 

Costs : 
Shirts - $25 each 
Dog bandanas - $15 each 
+ shipping if you can not pick up from Penrith
