Worley Loud Shirt Day 2026

Hear and Say 2026

Worley Gets LOUD 2026: Bright Shirts, Big Hearts

Dig out the bold prints, the tropical patterns and that shirt everyone insists is “a bit much”. Loud Shirt Day is back, and we’re wearing our support for children with hearing loss!
Whether you’ve joined us before or you’re wearing your first loud shirt, welcome. Together, we’re raising funds for Hear and Say and starting conversations about hearing loss, accessibility and belonging.

A Brisbane beginning, a growing community

I’m Gina Preston, and when I started Loud Shirt Day in our Brisbane office in 2018, I never imagined how far those bright shirts would travel. Since then, colleagues and leaders across Australia, New Zealand and international offices have joined in, bringing their own colour and enthusiasm to a cause close to my heart.
For 2026, let’s give even more people a reason to join in, donate and make a difference.

Why this means so much to me

I received cochlear implants when I was nearly two years old. Learning to hear took years of therapy, practice and support from the people around me. Hear and Say was part of that journey.
Today, I enjoy music and movies, travel independently and work alongside wonderful colleagues in a job I love. As a Hear and Say Loud Shirt Ambassador, I want other children and families to have access to the support that helped me.
Every bright shirt represents something personal to me: another person willing to help make that opportunity possible.

Did you know?

  • 1 in 1,000 babies in Australia are born with significant hearing loss.
  • 2 in 1,000 children experience significant hearing loss by school age.
  • 3 in 1,000 children in secondary school require assistance because of hearing loss.
Your donation will help Hear and Say provide vital services and support for children to hear, listen and speak, while supporting families along the way.

Being included matters, too

Hearing loss can be invisible, but the barriers are real. A missed joke in a meeting. A conversation lost in background noise. Training without captions.
Through Loud Shirt Day and our Worley All Abilities Network, we’re encouraging greater understanding and a workplace where people feel comfortable asking for the support they need. A bright shirt can start a conversation. Listening and making everyday activities more accessible can help someone feel they belong.

Wear it loud. Give what you can.

Join your team for a colourful celebration, share a loud-shirt photo if you’re working from home, or support us right here with an online donation.
Please help us reach our fundraising goal. Whether you’re joining the fun or cheering us on from afar, your support matters.
Let’s make 2026 a year of wonderfully loud shirts and meaningful support for children with hearing loss.
Donate today and help give children the opportunity to thrive.
Thank you for getting LOUD with us!
