This page sets out the terms that apply for your participation in Loud Shirt Day raising funds for Hear and Say, your use of the Hear and Say Loud Shirt Day website, resources and other Loud Shirt Day materials. Your registration in Loud Shirt Day indicates to Hear and Say that you agree with these terms and conditions (General Terms), as updated from time to time.
Parental Consent
All terms and conditions apply to parents or guardians of registered Loud Shirt Day participants under 13. It is a condition of use of this website that any person under the age of 13 participating in Loud Shirt Day be appropriately supervised by an adult. Where a child is under the age of 13, they must only operate the website under the direct supervision of a parent or carer. We may refuse access to the website to any child under the age of 13 until we receive permission from their parent or guardian.
Respect The Loud Shirt Day Community
Be respectful by adhering to the following:
- You must not interfere with our website, upload viruses or other malicious code
- You must not bully, intimidate or harass anyone
- You must not post any content that infringes or violates someone else’s rights, or otherwise violates the law, or that is discriminatory, hateful, pornographic, threatening or violent.

Participants
Hear and Say collects personal information as part of your participation in Loud Shirt Day, to assist us in complying with our legal and regulatory obligations and for other related purposes. By providing any personal information to us and/or being involved in Loud Shirt Day activities you consent to the collection of the personal information and consent to Hear and Say contacting you in relation to your fundraising activities and how your efforts are making difference to Hear and Say. Failure to provide personal information may result in Hear and Say being unable to provide you with certain information and offers.
Donors
Hear and Say collects personal information as part of your support of participants in Loud Shirt Day, to assist us in complying with our legal and regulatory obligations and for other related purposes. By providing any personal information to us and/or being involved in Loud Shirt Day activities you consent to the collection of the personal information and consent to Hear and Say contacting you in relation how your donation has made a difference to Hear and Say. Failure to provide personal information may result in Hear and Say being unable to provide you with certain information and offers.
You may opt out of receiving communications at any time by contacting us via email, phone, mail or Facebook Messenger to update your preferences within the database.
Your privacy
Hear and Say staff and volunteers understand and respect your right to privacy and the confidentiality and security of personal information provided by you. Hear and Say will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is protected from misuse, loss, interference and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Your Fundraising
The proceeds from your fundraising will help Hear and Say continue to support its vision of a world where everyone has the ability to communicate, connect, and live their best lives.
Content posted by you
Any content that you post to our socials or fundraising pages (e.g. photos, videos and comments) is your responsibility, and you must make sure that you have the necessary rights to post that content (e.g. by obtaining permission from copyright owners if necessary or by obtaining permission to use personal information of third parties). By posting any content, you also give Hear and Say a non-exclusive, transferable, royalty-free worldwide right to use and reproduce that content.
Resources
Hear and Say takes great care with the information and resources we provide, and we endeavour to keep all information accurate, error-free, and free of any offensive material. However, you use the site at your own risk and Hear and Say will not be liable for any costs or losses you incur through your use of our resources and information. Whilst we may include links to third party websites or resources, Hear and Say is not responsible for such third parties, and you use those websites or resources at your own risk.
Fundraising events or activities
If you choose to host or organise a fundraising event or activity as part of your Loud Shirt Day fundraising you accept that you are responsible for the organisation and running of the event, which includes acquiring any necessary permits, permissions and/or insurance, and complying with all legal requirements, required to hold said event. There may be risks and dangers inherent to an event, and by choosing to host it you understand and accept that Hear and Say will not have any liability in relation to any injury, damage or loss incurred in connection with your event. Hear and Say is not liable for any cost or losses that incur through your event.
Participating in a hosted Loud Shirt Day Event
You acknowledge that if you participate in a Loud Shirt Day event of any sort, you do so at your own risk and that Hear and Say will not have any liability in relation to any injury, damage or loss you suffer as a result.
Loudest Town
This October, why not get your local community on board and turn your town LOUD for kids with hearing loss? Since 2019, the honour of being named LOUDEST TOWN has been hotly contested, and we expect the same in 2025.
To be named LOUDEST Town in 2025, you need to do the following.
- Register for Loud Shirt Day for free.
- Tick the box that you are taking part in LOUDEST Town.
- Share your fundraising page with members of your town/community and ask then to get on board.
LOUDEST Town is only open to Queensland and Northern New South Wales towns.
Campaign period
Loud Shirt Day runs from 5 August 2025 through 30 November 2025. Any funds received after 30 November will be attributed to the following year’s Loud Shirt Day.
Our Rights
Hear and Say may remove any content posted by you or prevent access by you at its entire discretion. Any failure by Hear and Say to enforce our rights under these terms is not a waiver and we remain entitled to enforce our rights.
Entities and governing law
Hear and Say ABN: 32 058 430 069 is a registered Queensland charity and is subject to fundraising laws in Qld.
Disclaimer
