Hearing loss is the most common condition diagnosed at birth in Australia and New Zealand - and by school age, 1 in 300 children will have permanent hearing loss.
Sadly, half of these children receive no specialist support, but you can help change that.

Why I’m Getting LOUD for Telethon Speech & Hearing 🎨👚
Friday 11th SepI will be wearing something exceptionally bright, floral soon. I haven’t decided yet, but there is a very good reason for it! I have officially signed up my workplace for Loud Shirt Day to raise vital funds and awareness for children with hearing loss.
This fundraiser is incredibly close to my heart. My daughter attended Telethon Speech & Hearing (TSH) for just over a year during a really stressful time when we weren't sure if she would regain her hearing. The early intervention and support they provided were invaluable in helping us navigate what she needed and connecting us with the right specialists.
Having been through that uncertainty, I know firsthand how much of a lifeline TSH is for families.
What is Loud Shirt Day?
It is the ultimate "feel-good" fundraiser where schools, workplaces, and families across Australia rock their brightest shirts to give the gift of sound and speech. The money raised goes directly toward life-changing services like speech therapy, audiology, and early intervention programs—giving kids the tools they need to thrive.
