Get LOUD for kids with hearing loss!
Hearing loss is the most common condition diagnosed at birth in Australia and New Zealand - and by school age, 1 in 300 children will have permanent hearing loss. Sadly half of these children do not get specialist support but we can change this through fundraising!
This fundraiser is something close to our hearts. Cooper failed his in hospital hearing tests at day 2 and day 3 of life and shortly after was diagnosed with Permanent Mild Hearing loss in his left ear.
Cooper is currently living with a Moderate to Severe Hearing loss due to a failed Myringoplasty which was conducted at 2 years of age to graft close a perforation caused by grommets. We cannot retry this surgery now until he is 5-6 years old. In the interim we have a Hearing Aid which doesnt get worn alot and we see pur Speechy at TSH fortnightly.
By getting LOUD and donating to Loud Shirt Day, you’ll be helping fund life-changing early intervention services that help kids learn to hear, speak and thrive.
Your support brings opportunity, connection and a brighter future to children affected by hearing loss.
This October, turn up the volume and please give generously!
Love you Coops
