Get Loud for kids like Isaac, who have hearing loss!
Hearing loss is the most common condition diagnosed at birth in Australia and New Zealand - and by school age, 1 in 300 children will have permanent hearing loss.
Sadly, half of these children receive no specialist support, but you can help change that.
By getting LOUD and donating to Loud Shirt Day, you’ll be helping fund life-changing early intervention services that help kids learn to hear, speak and thrive.
Your support brings opportunity, connection and a brighter future to children affected by hearing loss.
This October, turn up the volume and please give generously!
My Updates

The diagnosis
Thursday 18th Sep In June 2023 I had Isaac, at his newborn screening hearing test it was discovered he had severe loss, three days later they redid the test and it produced the same results. It was heartbreaking but we went through another more intense hearing test where they diagnosed Isaac as deaf (moderate to sever in his left ear and severe in his right) so he was referred to hearing Aus. This was where I thought they would just do another testand monitor, a few weeks later we got the call to say our appointment was in a week, I asked where do we go from here and that is when they said Isaac would likely be fitted with a hearing aid.
