Why We’re Getting LOUD at CMH Electrical

Loud Shirt Day is a cause that sits very close to our hearts here at CMH Electrical.
Our son Hayze, now 5 years old, received his cochlear implants at just 8 months old — and it changed his life. Thanks to his “super ears,” he now lives in a world full of sound, laughter, and connection. We will forever be grateful for the opportunity he was given and the support our family received along the journey.

That’s why this year, we’re proudly raising funds and awareness for The Hearing House — an Auckland-based charity that supports babies, children and adults with cochlear implants, from Cape Reinga to Taupō.

With a passionate team of audiologists, specialised speech therapists, counsellors and support staff, The Hearing House walks alongside New Zealanders learning to listen and communicate with their implants — helping build strong, confident lives full of sound.

As a charity, The Hearing House relies on donations and fundraising to continue its life-changing work. This includes:

  • Running outreach clinics in regional communities

  • Operating a Mobile Hearing Clinic to reach isolated whānau

  • Providing financial help through initiatives like the Cochlear Implant Repair Fund

  • Covering the essential day-to-day costs that make lifelong support possible

So this Loud Shirt Day, CMH Electrical is getting LOUD — for Hayze, for every child finding their voice, and for the families just beginning their hearing journey.

Together, with your support, we can ensure The Hearing House continues to deliver specialised therapy, lifelong care, and hope to every Kiwi who needs it.

Let’s get LOUD and make a difference.
