After failing the new born hearing screen Ava was referred to Perth children's hospital for further testing it was then Ava was diagnosed with a Bilateral sensorineural hearing loss few weeks later we received our first pair of hearing aids after doing some research we come across telethon speech and hearing 😀 we then started one on one speech therapy and joined their amazing play group
We are really thankful for the service's @ telethon speech and hearing , we wouldn't be where we are without them!
Hearing loss is the most common condition diagnosed at birth in Australia and New Zealand - and by school age, 1 in 300 children will have permanent hearing loss.
Sadly, half of these children receive no specialist support, but you can help change that.
