For 150 years, Can:Do 4Kids has been a leading disability service provider in South Australia. We provide early intervention and support services for children of all ages who are deaf, blind, hard of hearing, low vision or are experiencing developmental challenges.

Meet Charlotte
Imagine being next to a roaring jet engine… and hearing nothing.
At just 32 weeks, Charlotte was diagnosed with rare profound bilateral sensorineural hearing loss, seen in less than 1 in 1000 children in Australia.
Charlotte is now 10 and has been through cochlear implant surgery and hundreds of hours of specialised Auditory Verbal therapy with Can:Do 4Kids since her diagnosis at 32 weeks old.
When Charlotte's family was first grappling with her diagnosis, they found more than just a service; they found a community. The team at Can:DO 4Kids offered not just therapy but also a much-needed support network.

Meet Mei and Max
Mei’s eight-year-old son, Max, has been receiving support services from Can:Do 4Kids since he was a baby. Loud Shirt Day gives them a chance to share their story.
Here’s why:
I first learned about Max's hearing loss in the hospital when he born. I was so worried when I received the news. No parent wants to find out that there's something not right with their baby, so those first months were extremely challenging.
Luckily, I was introduced to Can:Do 4Kids. They were so supportive, so compassionate; they gave me so much information and I had absolute confidence that this was the right place for him. From the first conversation I could tell that it would be a very supportive, family-friendly environment – I felt like I had a path forward and I knew who I'd be working with to help him on this journey.
Now, thanks to Can:Do 4Kids and their amazing supporters, Max's speech development and his learning are on track with his peers, which is excellent – we're so proud of how far he's come.
