The following terms and conditions refer to The Shepherd Centre fundraising activities.
Compliance

Fundraisers agree to comply with all directions from The Shepherd Centre regarding the use of its name and logo. The Shepherd Centre reserves the right to request changes or cease the use of its assets if it determines that their use is not in strict adherence of the approved terms or potentially harmful to The Shepherd Centre’s reputation.

Event organisers are required to keep accurate financial records of the event/fundraising activity including expenses and income sources (ticketing, raffles, auctions, etc). Fundraisers must comply with Australian Privacy Laws when collecting personal donor information. Donor details should be securely stored and only used for the purpose of issuing receipts or as directed by The Shepherd Centre.

The fundraising activity must be self-funded. The Shepherd Centre will not be held liable for any losses or expenses incurred, including cancellation for any reason. Funds raised are solely for the purpose communicated to donors and in alignment with the mission and values of The Shepherd Centre.

The event organiser must take all reasonable steps to ensure expenses do not exceed a fair and reasonable proportion of the total proceeds raised from the event.

Financial, public liability and public safety are all the responsibility of the fundraising event organiser. Fundraisers are responsible for obtaining any necessary permits or licenses required for their fundraising activities.

Fundraisers may not engage in door-to-door solicitation or telemarketing.

Fundraisers must ensure compliance with relevant child safety and protection legislation. If children are participating in or attending the event, organisers are responsible for ensuring appropriate duty of care and supervision.
Media, Public Relations and use of The Shepherd Centre and Loud Shirt Day logos

Fundraisers may use the name, logo, and other branding materials of The Shepherd Centre and Loud Shirt Day solely in connection with approved fundraising events and activities.

The use of The Shepherd Centre and Loud Shirt Day name and logos are not transferable or assignable to third parties and is limited to the event for which they were approved.

The Shepherd Centre and Loud Shirt Day names and logos may not be used in any way that suggests or implies endorsement of any product, service, political party, or agenda, or in connection with any content that is derogatory, defamatory, obscene, unlawful, or otherwise detrimental to The Shepherd Centre and brand.

Your fundraising activity may not be promoted as an official The Shepherd Centre event; however, it may be described as a fundraising event that proudly supports The Shepherd Centre.
Social Media

The Shepherd Centre may share details and images of your event via our social media and printed publications. If creating an event page on Facebook, please be sure to acknowledge your event is ‘in support of The Shepherd Centre’ and not ‘hosted by The Shepherd Centre’.

To the best of your ability, ensure that inappropriate images, comments or content are not posted on social media platforms. If necessary, remove any unsuitable content. Remember to use #shepherdcentre and #LoudShirtDay and always tag @shepherdcentre and @loudshirtday in your posts!

Withdrawal of Permission

The Shepherd Centre reserves the right to withdraw permission to use its name, logo, or other branding materials at any time if it believes that their ongoing use conflicts with The Shepherd Centre’s interests or reputation. Upon such withdrawal, fundraisers must immediately discontinue all use of The Shepherd Centre’s branding materials and either dispose or destroy any promotional materials that contain them.
Receipting Donations

All donations of $2 and over may be claimed as a tax deduction. Fundraisers may request a donation receipt or provide gift details and contact details of the donor to receive a receipt.

Fundraisers agree to send the money from the fundraising activity, together with any relevant documents to The Shepherd Centre within 10 business days of the activity.
How The Shepherd Centre can help you

Provide promotional resources; provide localised case studies where available; provide receipts, certificates of appreciation and thank you letters to donors and supporters. Depending on your location, event timing, fundraising goals, and participation in our highest fundraiser initiative, we may also be able to provide on-site attendance for your event.
The Shepherd Centre is unable to provide the following

Extend our tax exemption to you; provide insurance coverage; provide funding or reimbursement of expenses; guarantee celebrity ambassadors’ attendance/promotion; guarantee publicity, newspaper, radio, TV coverage; provide contact information of our donors, employees, families or volunteers.
